    Hi Jess!
    Merry Christmas!
Yes, I am the pediatrician from Denver with celiac and a celiac daughter. Just wanted to tell you I just read your prebiotic/probiotic article in GF Living. Nice work!! Very interesting. Wonder if all the new formulas with pre and probiotics will help hedge off celiac disease a little longer in our kiddos that are headed to a celiac life down the road.
Kuddos to you for being published in this magazine and blogging. Glad you are forging the way for celiacs -so much to be researched and learned.
I haven’t been on probiotics, but recently, since traveling to Greece for vacation got hooked on Fage yougurt with honey for my breakfast. It has 5 active cultures. I have to say I feel better having started this regime.
    Happy New Year!! Jill

      Hi Jill,
Thanks so much for writing and formally introducing yourself. I do remember you from our online support group.
I’ve had the same thoughts (and hopes) about the formulas and I guess time will tell. Do you see a lot of patients with celiac in your practice?
I started a probiotic about a year ago and it’s made a huge improvement in all of the IBS symptoms that I had even though I’d been GF for 3 years. I started my kids on probiotics about 6 months ago and have noticed a dramatic decrease in colds and other viruses (which I hope holds up!)
I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year! I hope to be out to Denver again in the next 18 months or so. I’ll email you if/when I come, would love to be able to meet you!
      Jess
